Children’s Ministry

Here at Oakland, we seek to partner with parents to help foster strong spiritual development and provide opportunities for children and families to work together to seek and meet the needs of those in our community through love and hospitality.

Children’s Sunday school classes begin each Sunday at 9:15am. Classes include Bible study, special activities, music and life application. Children learn Bible skills such as the books of the Bible and scripture memorization while they study the lives of the people and families in the Bible and how God showed love to each of them.

Mission Movers meet on Sunday evenings at 5pm. Our mission classes seek to guide children in becoming the hands and feet of Jesus both locally and globally. Through special local, national and global missions, children will become familiar with mission work and how they can help share God’s love to those in need.

Children’s music programs are offered on Sunday afternoons beginning at 4pm.  Children age three through fifth grade are encouraged to join us for Growing in Grace- All Creation Sings. This special time of music will feature lessons and music with a focus on God’s great creation. Children will have opportunities to learn about our beautiful world through singing, playing instruments, activities and scripture lessons.

Special events such as Vacation Bible School, movie nights, camp- in’s, and summer camp opportunities offer special times for our children to come together for discipleship and fellowship. We offer these events throughout the year.

We hope you will join us weekly for Sunday School (9:15AM-10:15AM, Sundays), Music/Choirs (4PM-5PM, Sundays), Discipleship and Missions (5PM-6PM, Sundays)
